Sometimes it is that, yes, but there are reasons people don't always just say the first thing that comes into their mind.

There's something called empathy and it is difficult for a droid to have.

I can do empathy. With...the right people.

Not lie, necessarily, but keep the truth to themselves, perhaps. Alter it a little, as necessary.

I know. It is difficult for me to show empathy sometimes, especially in my life of work.

We can both be terrible at it together. Maybe to people only half good at it make one decent person with empathy?
